Rann Utsav - The Unique Tent City

The timeless White Desert of Rann meets the modern world through Rann Utsav, orchestrated by the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL). This event introduces the extraordinary 'White Rann Experience'.

Previously deemed barren, the White Rann beside the Great Rann of Kutch was reimagined by TCGL in 2005. What began as a three-day festival has grown into a 100-day celebration at Dhordo village, where a novel tent city arises annually with temporary yet impressive infrastructure.

Day 01
Bhuj To Rann Utsav Tent City (Dhordo) - (85 KM / 02 Hr)

Check-in time: 12:30 PM Transfers from Bhuj to Rann Utsav - The Tent City, Dhordo on fixed timings:

  • 08:15 AM & 10:00 AM - From Railway Station and Airport, Bhuj
  • 12:30 PM - From Airport, Bhuj
  • 01:30 PM - From Railway Station, Bhuj
  • 03:30 PM - From Airport, Bhuj

The above timings are for fixed departures and subject to change. No Complimentary transfers will be available after the above timings. Individual transfers are available on request (chargeable). Allotment of tents to guests arriving before check-in time will be subject to availability.Distance from Bhuj to Rann Utsav - The Tent City, Dhordo is approx. 85 km, which takes about 1 hr 45 minutes.

Arrival at Rann Utsav - Tent City, Dhordo from Bhuj

  • 12:30 PM Onwards -  Welcome & Check-in
  • 12:30 PM to 02:30 PM - Lunch at respective dining area
  • 02:30 PM to 04:00 PM - Enjoy in-house activities like Adventure, Club House, Craft Market / Haat, Various  Selfie Points, Rejuvenation Centre, Art Gallery, Live Demonstration area of Kutch craft & many others
  • 04:00 PM to 05:00 PM  - High Tea
  • 05:00 PM to 05:30 PM - Transfer to The White Rann to witness the grandeur of sunset. The mode of transfer will be through bus/camel cart/ both.
  • 7:00 PM to 07:30 PM - Return to Rann Utsav, Dhordo
  • 07:30 PM to 10:30 PM - Dinner at respective dining area
  • 09:00 PM to 10:30 PM - Enjoy the Culture of Kutch along with entertaining activities at Cultural Activity Area.

Dhordo to Kala Dungar Excursion (50 Km / 02 Hr)

  • 06:30 AM to 07:00 AM - Transfer to White Rann to witness the grandeur of sunrise 
  • 07:30 AM to 10:00 AM - Breakfast at respective dining area

    Smritivan Earthquake Museum, Bhuj
    The Smritivan Earthquake Museum, Bhuj is situated on the Bhujiyo Dungar. It was constructed in remembrance of the victims of the devastating 2001 Gujarat earthquake. The Sun-point at the memorial is situated on top of Bhujiyo Dungar, providing a panoramic view of the city as well as breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset.

  • Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, and roadblocks and/or any factors beyond control.

  • In case of non-availability of the mentioned hotels, similar kind/quality of hotels will be provided, which can change the above package cost.
  • 100 % advance shall have to be paid before departure
  • The inclusion of extra bed / Person with a booking is facilitated with a mattress on the floor as an extra bed / person.
  • Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel .
  • Without valid ID the guest will not be allowed to check in to the hotel and in that case hotel will not refund any money .
  • According to government regulations, a valid Photo ID has to be carried by every person staying at the hotel.
  • The ID Proof can be Drivering License, Voters ID Card, Passport and Aadhar Card (Pan Card is not valid as ID Proof) .
  • Foreigners/NRI are requested to produce the Passport & valid Visa as Id proof on the time of check-in.
  • Also note that few service providers (Hoteliers, Transporter etc.) may apply postpone/prepone charges even after meeting above requirement. In such cases postpone/prepone charges will deducted from the advance amount deposited.
  • In all prepone or postpone scenarios, the services and the costing will be subject to availability of Hotel/Volvo and season/off season time.
  • We do not accept any changes in plan within 15 days of travel date. However in rare cases like adverse climatic conditions or strikes, package can be postponed which will be intimated to you beforehand.
  • The validity to utilize your Advance payment in prepone/postpone scenarios is 1 Year from the date of advance payment.

 

  • 100% advance to be paid at the time of booking.
  • In case of cancellation standard cancellation policies will be applicable or may be changed as per the Hotel policies
  • 90% Refund if cancelled 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date.
  • 60% Refund if cancelled more than or equal to 15 days prior to schedule arrival date but less than 30 days to scheduled arrival date.
  • No refund, if cancelled less than 15 days prior to scheduled arrival.
  • Change in guest/guests names would be treated as Cancellation.
  • In case of any date change INR3000/Per Tent + 18% GST will be charged, in addition to rate difference charges if any.
