Rann Utsav - The Unique Tent City

The timeless White Desert of Rann meets the modern world through Rann Utsav, orchestrated by the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL). This event introduces the extraordinary 'White Rann Experience'.

Previously deemed barren, the White Rann beside the Great Rann of Kutch was reimagined by TCGL in 2005. What began as a three-day festival has grown into a 100-day celebration at Dhordo village, where a novel tent city arises annually with temporary yet impressive infrastructure.

Bhuj To Rann Utsav Tent City (Dhordo) - (85 KM / 02 Hr)

Check-in time: 12:30 PM
Transfer from Bhuj to Rann Utsav - The Tent City, Dhordo on fixed timings:

  • 08:15 AM - From Railway Station, Bhuj and Airport, Bhuj
  • 10:00 AM - From Railway Station, Bhuj and Airport, Bhuj
  • 01:30 PM - From Railway Station, Bhuj and Airport, Bhuj
  • 03:30 PM - From Railway Station, Bhuj and Airport, Bhuj
  • The above timings are for fixed departures and are subject to change.
  • No complimentary transfers will be available after the above timings.

  • Tent allotment for guests arriving before the check-in time will be subject to availability.

Arrival at Rann Utsav - The Tent City, Dhordo from Bhuj

  • 12:30 PM Onwards - Warm welcome and check-in
  • 12:30 PM to 02:30 PM - Enjoy a delicious lunch at the respective dining area
  • 02:30 PM to 04:30 PM - Leisure time/Indulge in an exciting range of activities at Skyzilla, Club House, Craft Market/Haat, Various Selfie Points, Rejuvenation Center, Art Gallery, Live Demonstration area of Kutch Craft and many others.
  • 04:00 PM to 05:00 PM - High tea at the respective dining area
  • 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM - Visit the Sunset Point and the breathtaking White Rann to witness the grandeur of the setting sun. Transfers will be arranged by bus, camel cart, or a combination of both for a truly memorable experience.
  • 07:00 PM to 07:30 PM - Return to Rann Utsav - The Tent City, Dhordo
  • 07:30 PM to 10:00 PM - Enjoy a scrumptious dinner at the respective dining area
  • 09:00 PM to 10:30 PM - Enjoy the culture of Kutch along with entertaining activities at the cultural activity area

Rann Utsav Tent City - Bhuj Drop (85 Km / 02 Hr)

  • 07:30 AM to 09:30 AM - Breakfast at the respective dining area

  • 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM - Complimentary sightseeing at Smritivan Earthquake Museum, Bhuj, for 2 hours (approx)
  • It Extends homage to the almost 13,000 victims of the massive Gujarat earthquake of 2001. Located a top Bhujia Hill in the State of Gujarat, the memorial spans an impressive 170 acres on the historically significant Bhujiyo Dungar. (It will be closed on Monday)

  • Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, and roadblocks and/or any factors beyond control.

  • In case of non-availability of the mentioned hotels, similar kind/quality of hotels will be provided, which can change the above package cost. or shell be refund the amount.
  • 100 % advance shall have to be paid before departure
  • The inclusion of extra bed / Person with a booking is facilitated with a mattress on the floor as an extra bed / person.
  • Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel .
  • Without valid ID the guest will not be allowed to check in to the hotel and in that case hotel will not refund any money .
  • According to government regulations, a valid Photo ID has to be carried by every person staying at the hotel.
  • The ID Proof can be Drivering License, Voters ID Card, Passport and Aadhar Card (Pan Card is not valid as ID Proof) .
  • Foreigners/NRI are requested to produce the Passport & valid Visa as Id proof on the time of check-in.
  • Also note that few service providers (Hoteliers, Transporter etc.) may apply postpone/prepone charges even after meeting above requirement. In such cases postpone/prepone charges will deducted from the advance amount deposited.
  • In all prepone or postpone scenarios, the services and the costing will be subject to availability of Hotel/Volvo and season/off season time.
  • We do not accept any changes in plan within 15 days of travel date. However in rare cases like adverse climatic conditions or strikes, package can be postponed which will be intimated to you beforehand.
  • The validity to utilize your Advance payment in prepone/postpone scenarios is 1 Year from the date of advance payment.

 

  • 100% advance to be paid at the time of booking. 
  • In case of cancellation standard cancellation policies will be applicable or may be changed as per the Hotel policies 

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • 90% Refund if cancelled more than or equal to 30 days prior to the schedule arrival date.
  • 60% Refund if cancelled more than or equal to 15 days prior to the scheduled arrival date but less than 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
  • No Refund, if cancelled less than 15 days prior to scheduled arrival.
  • In case of any change in check-in date ,15% of the total booking amount will be charged.
  • In case of Primary Guest Name change, 5% of total booking amount will be charged.
  • In case of existing room Category is downgraded, 5% of total booking amount will be charged.
  • Rates are exclusive of applicable taxes.
  • GST shall be charged as applicable.
  • In case of triple occupancy, any person above 6 yrs. of age will be charged as an extra person (with mattress).
