Wake up early today to immerse yourself in the mesmerizing mornings of Shillong. After an early breakfast, embark on a drive to Cherrapunji, renowned as the wettest place in the world. Explore various attractions including the Garden of Caves, Eco Park (closed on Wednesdays), Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Falls), Mawsmai Cave, and Thangkharang Park (closed on Wednesdays).
In the evening, return to Shillong and visit Elephanta Falls (closed on Sundays) and Shillong Peak (closed on Wednesdays) to witness breathtaking views. Conclude the day with a comfortable overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, journey to Mawlynnong Village, recognized as the cleanest village in India. This charming and vibrant village is celebrated for its immaculate surroundings. Located 90 kilometers from Shillong, Mawlynnong offers various attractions such as the Living Root Bridge and a peculiar natural phenomenon where a boulder balances on another rock. Next, proceed to Dawki, situated along the Indo-Bangladesh border. Here, you can partake in boating activities in the crystal-clear waters of the Umgnot River. In the evening, return to Shillong for an overnight stay.
Following breakfast, we'll proceed to Kaziranga National Park, renowned as the habitat of the One-Horn Indian Rhinoceros. Upon arrival, check in at your chosen accommodation, whether it be a hotel, lodge, or resort. In the evening, you have the option to visit Orchid Park and explore the nearby Tea Plantations. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.
In the early hours of the morning, we'll embark on a unique adventure, exploring Kaziranga National Park atop majestic elephants. This sanctuary is not only home to the endangered One-Horned Indian Rhinoceros but also shelters a significant portion of the world's genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild Elephants, and quite possibly the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers in any habitat. Kaziranga National Park is a haven for bird enthusiasts, boasting a staggering 500 species of birds. Among them, the Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla&rsquos Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed Goose, Whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, various Storks, Herons, and Pelicans grace the skies and waters.
After our morning expedition, we'll return to the resort for a hearty breakfast. In the afternoon, we'll set out on a thrilling jeep safari, immersing ourselves further in the wilderness. As evening descends, we'll return to the comfort of our hotel for a relaxing evening. Our overnight stay promises an unforgettable experience amidst the natural wonders of Kaziranga National Park.
Depart early in the morning for Dirang. Along the way, make a stop at the Orchid Research Centre Tipi, an orchidarium boasting around 10,000 orchid plants from various genera and species. Arunachal Pradesh is known to have the largest range of orchids in the country. As you continue your drive, ensure your cameras are ready to capture the beautiful waterfalls and breathtaking views along the route. During the journey, you'll also visit Nag Mandir.
Upon arrival in Dirang, check in to your hotel. After lunch, explore the regional apple nursery, kiwi farm, hot water spring, Sangti Valley, and Dzong Fort. Conclude the day with an overnight stay in Dirang.
Following breakfast, we'll proceed to Tawang. Along the way, we'll stop to visit the War Cemetery. Our journey will continue, leading us to the majestic Sela Pass, situated at an elevation of 4170 meters (13700 feet). Renowned for its high altitude lakes and breathtaking scenery, the pass offers a picturesque vista. Continuing our drive, we'll arrive at the Jaswant Garh War Memorial, a tribute to the valiant Indian soldier Jaswant Singh Rawat.
Later, we'll visit the enchanting Nuranang Falls, also known as Jang Falls. Upon reaching Tawang, we'll check in to our hotel for an overnight stay, embracing the tranquility of this picturesque destination.
After breakfast, you have two options for the day. The first option is to visit Bum La Pass (Indo-China Border), Sangestar Lake (Madhuri Lake), and Pangateng Tso Lake (P.Tso Lake). Please note that you will need to obtain a permit from the DC office in Tawang by yourself for visiting Bum La Pass. Additionally, you will need to hire a local taxi in Tawang for these visits, as our vehicles are not permitted. The cost for the taxi will be on a direct payment basis.
Alternatively, you can choose to visit Tawang Monastery (Namgey Lhatse), Singsor Ani Gompa, and Tawang War Memorial. Please note that covering all these places in a day may not be feasible if you opt for the first option of visiting Bum La Pass and Madhuri Lake. In the evening, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Tawang.
After breakfast, proceed to Bomdila. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Visit Bomdila Monastery and Bomdila View Point, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan landscapes and snow-clad ranges. In the evening, you may explore the local market. Overnight stay in Bomdila.
After breakfast, proceed to Guwahati and check in at your hotel. In the evening, you have the option to enjoy a River Cruise on the majestic River Brahmaputra (Payment directly to the operator). You can also explore the local market, renowned for Assam's specialties such as Assam Silk, especially Golden Muga Silk, Assam Tea, Bamboo, and Cane Products. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
After breakfast, we'll check out from the hotel. If time permits, we can embark on a tour of the Kamakhya Temple and other temples in Guwahati, including the Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji Temple, Sukreswar Temple, Navagraha Temple, Umananda Temple on Peacock Island, which is the smallest inhabited river island in the world. Additionally, we can explore the Assam State Museum, Dighali Pukhuri (Lake), State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, Planetarium, and the Assam State Emporiums. With cherished memories, we'll proceed to Guwahati airport/railway station for our onward journey.
