Rath Yatra (also written as Ratha Yatra or Chariot Festival) is an annual Hindu festival celebrated primarily in Puri, Odisha, at the famous Jagannath Temple — one of the four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites in India. The festival commemorates Lord Jagannath's annual visit to his maternal aunt's home (Gundicha Temple).

Three enormous wooden chariots — Nandighosa (Lord Jagannath), Taladhwaja (Lord Balabhadra), and Darpadalana (Devi Subhadra) — are pulled by hundreds of thousands of devotees through the Grand Road. The return procession, called Bahuda Yatra, takes place 9 days later. Both the outward and return processions draw millions of pilgrims from across India and the world.
